THE report from a Scone railway noise study could be presented to stakeholders tomorrow.
The study took place along the railway line near the Kingdon St pedestrian crossing on February 25 and 26.
The Upper Hunter Shire Council and the Scone Chamber of Commerce and Industry paid for the study which was conducted by Wallsend based sound consultants.
Portman House owner Peter Dulson is one of many people who are concerned by train noise in Scone and said he was told by a consultant that they hoped to make the report available this week.
“Once we get the report we will discuss it with the council and then we might get some legal advice,” Mr Dulson said.
Mr Dulson said more and more people were beginning to support a campaign to reduce train noise with
several residents campaigning to have the railway line bypass the town.
