Scone Athletics Club was well represented at the Country Championships at Glendale last weekend with 12 athletes attending the carnival.
Amy-Lea Mills was the most successful winning gold in the discus and javelin, and silver in the shotput.
Two other athletes also received gold medals in track events, Dave Macpherson in the 5000m and Nicky Western in the 3000m.
The 800m races saw Scone athletes collect four silver medals.
These went to Sarah Schiffmann with a personal best (PB) of 2.59.01, Dylan Catzikiris with a PB of 2.12.00, Nicky Western with a PB of 2.34.11 and Dave Macpherson in a time of 2.17.64.
Zoe Harper won a silver medal in the long jump and a bronze in the 4 x 100m relay, competing with a Newcastle team.
Greg Schumaker also received a silver medal for the 110m hurdles.
Jesse Schumaker was third in the 800m, with good performances also being recorded by Harry Schumaker, Sophie Moss, Zoe Harper, James Munro and Tom Munro.
Friday night athletics will commence again this tomorrow at 6pm.
