First training session

29 Oct, 2009 10:36 AM
SCONE Old Boys ran their first training session on Sunday, October 18 at Scone Park under the guidance of Aaron Watts.

Watts was assisted by former Scone Thoroughbred now Melbourne Storm U20s player James Barker, Scone’s 2009 Country Representative Daniel Ritter and senior Thoroughbreds Josh Adams and Graham White.

The Old Boys off season academy is set up to help all the 14s to 16s with the latest skills, fitness and advice on nutrition.

It is hoped it will help every player to improve and further their enjoyment of rugby league.

After the good roll up on Sunday, the Old Boys still welcome more players to attend the next session on Sunday, November 22 at 9am, Scone Park.

Thanks to Brooks Bros. for their sausage sizzle and drink and Scone Newsagency for the boys training singlets.

Thanks also to Old Boys Bob Barker, Mick Reynolds, Ross Duggan, Jamie Munn, Terry Wicks, Glenn Pennell, Brad Watts, Russell Ritter and Brett Hourn.
