ALICE Arnott, a Year 6 student at Scone Grammar School, competed last week in the NSW PSSA State Hockey Championships held at the National Hockey Centre, Canberra as a member of the Combined Independent School’s (CIS) Girls U. 12 Primary Hockey Team.

The team competed strongly to finish in the play offs in seventh

position.

The play offs were conducted after the team contested seven tough games against Polding (the tournament overall winners), McKillop, Sydney South West, Riverina, Barrier, North Coast and Sydney North. Fourteen teams were in the competition from all around NSW.

Lynne Redding of St. Mary’s Catholic School had another fantastic year, winning the PSSA Hockey Tournament again as coach of the Polding Team.
