Golfers celebrate their achievements

A LARGE crowd attended the 2009 Golf Presentation night at Scone Golf Club last Saturday night.

Highlights of the night included Sue Watt’s continued domination of the Ladies Championships with her 21st win and junior golfer Nathan Waters taking out the Club Championship, the Junior Championship and the Junior Golfer of the Year Award.

Nathan was the first golfer to win both Junior and Club Championships since Mac Dawson in 2007.

Other highlights for the men were the family triumph for Derek Field, Senior Champion and his son Oscar who took out the coverall nett for the Club Championships.

Paul Smart took home the prestigious Kevans Knockout Trophy and Steve Morse and Alan Wood took home the Snyman Knockout Four ball Champions trophy.

Junior Golfers took home a swag of trophies with Kyle Blinco, Matt O’Donnell Oscar Field and Nathan Waters featuring.

For the ladies major winners were Kathy Robinson, Medal of Medals Trophy, Mary Woodlands in the Peter Marshall Knockout, June Jukes and Joan Shaw, the Marg Marshall 4 Ball Knockout, Robyn Murray, the Doon MacCallum Trophy, Joan Shaw for the greatest reduction in Handicap and Grade Champions Judy Carmody in Division 3, Marie Murray in Division 2 and Sue Watts in Division 1.
