Fields ready for season kick off

26 Jan, 2012 08:37 AM
A small band of dedicated helpers ensured the Scone Junior Rugby League fields will be at their prime ready for the kick off of the 2012 season.

After the major work was completed on the mini league grounds last year with an underground watering system installed and turf laid, some minor re-turfing was completed last Friday afternoon to ensure they will be the pride of the group by season kick off.

A big thank you goes to Don Adams and Terry Wicks for their assistance in organising the afternoon, along with helpers Jarrod Wicks, Kurtis Wicks, Glen Pennell, Brad Watts, Jackson Munn and Campbell Munn.

Presently kick off for the 2012 season is April 21 with Scone’s first major home games being round two on April 28.

Dates are currently being confirmed for registration days, but anyone not wanting to miss out can contact Jamie Munn on 0429 077 307 to secure their position with the Thoroughbreds.

Stay tuned for registration dates.
