The Upper Hunter Shire Council is to be congratulated on the motion that was passed at the last meeting.
The councillors agreed that they oppose any new industry that may compromise water security, affect water resources and impact on existing industries.
It is good that the council is trying to protect the interests of their ratepayers instead of compromising agricultural interests in favour of multinational mining/gas companies.
