Sparkies help light shed

It was a case of many hands making light work at the Men’s Shed in Scone last week.

Upper Hunter Men’s Shed president, John Pratley said he was overwhelmed with the inkind support and donations they had received for the shed.

“We had one electrician come in and install all our lighting for us, and another company donated all the light fittings and wiring which is fantastic,” Mr Pratley said.

“Every donation we receive like this means there is more money to spend on equipping the workshop,

Scone electrician Errol Elliott provided electrical services while Greg and Jenny McCulloch of GCM Lighting and Electrical

supplied electrical materials.

Construction of the Upper Hunter Men’s Shed located at the rear of the senior citizens building on Oxford Road, Scone is expected to be completed at the end of this month.

Mr Pratley said they were now on the lookout for benches, shelves, tools and machinery to fit out the workshop.
