Filly chases third win at Scone Carnival

SHE’S fast, she’s pretty, she’s awesome.

That’s the talk around the stables of Scone-based trainer, Rod Northam, who is delighted to have this talented two year old ‘Snitzel’ bred filly in his barn.

“Her first race was the Inglis 1100 metre sprint bonus race six weeks ago and then she raced again last Friday at Muswellbrook in the 1000 metres and won both of them,” Mr Northam said.

Tinszelda will be trying for three straight wins when she takes to the barriers in the 1100 metre Inglis race for two-year-olds at this week’s Scone Racing Carnival.

Purchased by Donal Reidy of Scone and Adam Cook of Aberdeen for $19,000 last year at the Scone yearling sales, the talented filly has already clocked up $60,000 in prizemoney from her last two wins.

“If she can win this weekend that will be another $60,000 in prize money plus $20,000 from the breeders and owners bonus (BOB),” Mr Northam said.

“We are all very excited. She is a very talented filly and I think she will do well.”

The Scone Racing Carnival – Emirates Park Cup starts on Friday, May 18, from 11am at the Scone

racecourse, Bunnan Road.

The Inglis Guineas Race Day will follow on Saturday, May 19, at the same time and venue.
