Police want to remind drivers of the rules regarding turning lanes and road barriers.
Turning lanes at the traffic lights on Liverpool Street, Scone are for right hand turns only.
Drivers in the right hand lane have been driving straight through and there have been a number of near accidents.
Road barriers placed by Upper Hunter Shire Council to close a road to the public must be obeyed. If the road is closed for certain events such as Scone Horse Parade, the barriers can only be removed by an authorised person. The public is not to drive through these barriers and use the road until the barriers are removed.
