Strathearn residents stay busy

Strathearn residents are kept busy each day with a range of activity classes.

Research suggests keeping your mind and body active helps slow down the ageing process and with that in mind residents can participate in a range of activities.

On offer to the group is music, craft, bingo and tai chi.

Personal care officer Anne Meier runs the activity class and on Monday she invited special guest Tracy Officer to demonstrate jewellery-making.

The residents have been successful in winning prizes in the Muswellbrook Show in the arts and crafts section.

Strathearn took out first prize in the group section and resident Shirley Hayes won two ribbons as an individual entry.
