It was a clear and brisk morning at the Glen Innes Cemetery for this year's Glen Innes Dawn Services, conducted under the coordination of the Glen Innes RSL Sub Branch and its president Gordon Taylor and commencing from approximately 5.30am.

With close to 500 locals turning out to commemorate the event, the ceremony was marked by a number of local speakers including members of the local RSL Sub Branch, Salvation Army officer Bernie Symens and family members of fallen veterans and service people interred at the Glen Innes Cemetery.
In its first acting capacity with the annual Dawn Service, the Glen Innes Cadet Unit formed a Catafalque Guard throughout the proceedings with unit leader Andrew Hutton hoping that the Cadet's involvement will continue in similar capacity for further proceedings on Remembrance Day in November.
