NSW is currently one of the largest “Districts” in Toastmasters worldwide, and as such, over the next 12 months will be in a transition mode to split into two districts – Northern NSW and Southern NSW (north and south of the Parramatta River).

It is the tyranny of distance that is the biggest hurdle in Australia, and our Muswellbrook and Singleton Toastmaster Clubs will also change the Area they are in.
Area 55 included Quirindi, Scone (in formation), Muswellbrook and Singleton, however the Scone club has not yet emerged, and Muswellbrook and Singleton Clubs will now be included in Area 32 which encompasses Port Stephens, Maitland and Cessnock.
These clubs have a wealth of experience (as did Area 55), and we look forward to their input and having competitions and training sessions with them.
This year the call went out for an Area 32 Governor to cover the area from Muswellbrook to Port Stephens, and one of our long standing Muswellbrook members has generously put up his hand to take on the role and learn more along the way.
Stephen Thatcher has been a member for over 12 years and he has decided to take on this leadership role in an order to learn more and gain from his experiences.
Stephen will be required to travel to each of these clubs at least three times during the next 12 months, and we wish him well.
