The Magpies took the ascendancy early in the game with a few quick tries and we could not peg them back.
With a few positional changes due to injuries we were again having difficulty with combinations and an inability to get our hands on the ball for the majority of the first half and we were definitely out gunned with Magpies going to the break up 19-0.
In the second half we started to get our mojo on with Bailey Miller chiming into the back line to score our first try.
We started to close the gap with our second try to Tyler Porter coming from a quick tap.
The Magpies managed another two tries before the try of the century by Jake Douglas.
Jake kicked the ball from inside our 22, followed through and kicked the ball on again, kept chasing and kicked the ball on a third time before the final foot race to the line to force the ball down for a try.
Mayhem from the spectators ensued.
Unfortunately we couldn’t manage to convert any of our tries, but the boys never gave up, working hard to until the final whistle.
In the end we were beaten by the better team on the day going down 34-15.
The boys have showed plenty of mettle throughout the season often playing short, but still toughing out many games.
The boys would like to thank Jeff Watt and Tim Edwards for coaching the team during the season.
