This is the 24th year of the tournament which is always held on the October long weekend.
The classic is a catch and release tournament with bass, silver perch and yellowbelly all eligible for prizes.
Bait, lure and fly can be used.
The classic is a family friendly tournament where junior anglers are encouraged.
There is more than $2000 in prizes up for grabs including many rod and reel combos and a weekend’s accommodation at Glenbawn Dam.
All money raised on the weekend is used to restock Glenbawn.
Last year with proceeds from the classic the club put in 6000 bass fingerlings.
These were spread all over the dam by club members to increase the chance of survival of the fingerlings.
The event runs on both Saturday and Sunday.
Everyone can register for the classic on Friday afternoon from 3pm to 8pm or on Saturday morning.
Registration is $50 a family, $30 for adults and $15 for a junior.
All are welcome.
