Twelve local ladies will feature in the 2015 calendar, which is hot off the press and ready to be launched at a special Cocktails by Pink Candlelight event in Scone next Friday, October 24.
The calendar boasts professional photography by Sydney’s Ross Coffey, hair, make up and special features with the 12 women posing semi-naked for the important cause.
The Cocktails by Pink Candlelight function is the fifth event organised by a group of friends led by Liza White, to raise funds for breast cancer research.
It will be a night of fine food, drinks, entertainment, auctions, prizes and more.
This year’s event is a little different as the husbands are invited as well, with a dress code of ‘handsome and gorgeous with a splash of pink’.
Breast cancer survivor and inspirational woman Lisa Poulos will visit as the guest speaker sharing her story – ‘A Life Laid Bare’ - about her journey, which was seen on Australian Story last year.
Liza said everyone is welcome to come along and enjoy a beautiful evening out in Scone and help support such an important cause.
She said the event started out as a small group of women organising a small backyard garden event and has since grown bigger and bigger.
“Breast cancer is something that affects so many people that we all know so closely, so it’s important to raise funds for research.”
Many really fantastic auction items will be up for grabs including a week away at Byron Bay, a Spoilt Sydney Weekend with accommodation and fine dining, and art by Sarah Bishop.
There will also be lucky balloons featuring first prize of a Jan Logan cocktail ring, plus much more.
The function will be held at the Scone Race Club next Friday at 7pm.
Tickets cost $50 each and can be purchased online at www.tryboo king.com.au or by contacting Liza on 6545 1916 or at lizawhite1@bigpond.com
The calendars will be on sale on the night and afterwards for $77, with all funds raised being donated to research.
