TransCare held its ninth annual barefoot bowls evening on Thursday, October 2 at the Scone Bowling Club.
There were some 180 people there with 112 of them playing bowls which filled the entire 14 rinks.
On behalf of TransCare I wish to say ‘thank you’ to the business houses that provided fabulous gifts, vouchers and prizes that were offered towards the monster raffle at the end of the evening.
We are aware of the economic circumstances facing businesses (like us) today and we do appreciate the assistance given by the business communities to make this event the great one that it is.
The total money raised was $6400 which will be used for our TransClub program which is about looking out for our aged and disabled.
We run social trips in our buses to various places, having a movie day, or an arts and crafts day.
Whatever the event, it involves happiness and inclusion and a chance for people to get out and about.
This program is funded wholly by you the community.
Thank you again to all in the community - we think you are wonderful.
