As former local boy Alex McKinnon continues his long journey of rehabilitation, the local Aberdeen’s All For Alex committee is backing him all the way.

The committee is hosting an NRL Legends Game Day at McKinnon Field in Aberdeen next Saturday, November 8.
Full of Aberdeen Rugby League Football Club members and locals who know Alex well, the committee is keen to do all they can to raise funds for his ongoing rehabilitation and care.
The day will feature many exciting matches, a coaching clinic with NRL Development and a special NRL Legends vs Aberdeen’s All For Alex Invitational match.
The coaching clinic will be held from 10am to 12pm for juniors aged between five and 16 years.
All are welcome to take part for $30 each, which includes a t-shirt, football, drink bottle, sausage sandwich and drink.

Gates to the matches will open at 3pm with entry for children under 12 free, pensioners $5 and adults $10.
The first game will kick off at 4pm between Hunter Valley Men of League and the Aberdeen Old Boys Rugby League.
The next game between St Mary’s Primary School Under 10s and Aberdeen Junior League Under 10s will kick off at 4.45pm.
The feature match will kick off at 5.30pm when the NRL Legends take on Aberdeen’s All For Alex Invitational Rugby League side.
Among the NRL Legends to play will be Luke Patten, Nathan Blacklock, Michael Buettner, Chris Caruana, Leo Dynevor, Dennis Moran, Matt Parsons, Brad Drew, Josh Stuart, Nathan Hindmarsh, Jamie Feeney, Nathan Fien, Tony Grimaldi, Tony Butterfield (captain/coach), Dean Widders, Mark O’Meley, Brad Morrin, Adam Perry, Andrew Ryan, Nigel Roy, Robbie McCormack and Greg Florimo.
Aberdeen’s All For Alex Invitational players will include Justin Smith, Dave Murnane, Sean Tanner, Scott Dunn, Seth Morgan, Brad Murray, Cade Boney, Ben Hagan, Ben Clarke, Dan Hagan, Daley Boney, Mark Bercini, Daniel Hoogerwerf, Zac Douglas, Tom Hagan, Will Carrigan, Kerrod Holland, Dale Watson, Troy Logan, Mark Wilton (captain).
The coaches are Tyler Randall, Adam Clydsdale and Chad Redman, and NRL referee Shayne Hayne will control the game.
The NRL Legends Game will be broadcast live by BLIVE (www.blive.net.au).
A supporters and players event will follow with a barbecue, player presentation, NRL Legends player guernsey auction, match game ball auction and live music by Darryl “Carrot” Bowen and Craig “Burnout” Daniels at the Aberdeen Sport and Recreation Club.
