A first, second or third placing at this carnival in the Under 8 to Under 17 age groups qualified athletes to represent their zone in the Regional Championships to be held at Glendale on February 14 and 15, 2015.
The Under 7 athletes who placed first, second or third in their finals received medals from the Little Athletics NSW Association.
Aberdeen had eight athletes compete in the very hot weather conditions.
Their results were as follows: Under 7 Bronx Geerin 1st pack start 1-57.7 – gold medal; 3rd100m heat 18.88, 3rd final 18.41 – bronze medal; 4th shot put 3.83m and 50m heat 9.99 7th final 9.98.
Under 8 Malaki Poa long jump 2nd 3.14m; 70m 2nd 12.9; 60mH 5th 14.1 and 200m 6th 39.87.
Under 8 Makenzi Nelson discus 3rd 9.40m; long jump 5th 2.91m; 100m heat 18.6, final 7th 18.5 and 400m 5th 1-45.3.
Under 11 Christel Pennell 1500m 4th 10-56.4; 800m 4th 3-37.9; 60mH 6th 13.7.
Under 12 Ethan Earl discus 1st 24.34m; javelin 1st 21.97m and shot put 1st 9.67m.
Under 13 Corey Lowick 100m 7th 14.7.
Under 14 Kate Lloyd 1500m 1st 6-23.9; 3000m 1st 14-42.0; 400m 3rd 1-19.1; 100m 7th 16.0.
Under 15 Isabella Roughan discus 1st14.46m; triple jump 2nd 8.38m and 1500m 2nd 6-35.3.
Many thanks to those parents who helped out on the field over the weekend, without your help carnivals such as these do not happen.
