The two full days of campdrafting at Belmont Sports Ground went off very well with great cattle providing the backbone for some excellent displays of the sport.
A total of about 730 runs including finals of the maiden, novice and open were witnessed.
Despite the extremely hot weather, the cattle, committee and horses held up well with brilliant drafting, especially in the novice on Sunday morning where only scores of 87 and higher went into the final.
The fun aspects of the weekend including the novelty dog high jump on Friday and a calcutta and DJ entertainment on Saturday evening were again crowd pleasers.
The committee was fortunate to have the support of a full line of cattle from Ellerston to allow the event to take place, which they expressed massive thanks for.
Ellerston Campdraft secretary Leanne Shorten said they were really happy with how the weekend went, considering the conditions.
Mrs Shorten thanked all of the sponsors, supporters and the community who all made a big effort to ensure the event came together as a success.
