The Uniting Church in the Upper Hunter has the purpose of demonstrating and being a congregation that wants to serve and be available to the community so that the community can see the grace and love of God.
The hall complex has become very intentionally elderly and disability friendly.
The grounds are providing a much improved meeting location.
There are toilets under one roof, wheelchair friendly from the street, air conditioned, carpeted rooms with kitchenette attached.
It is the ideal location for any small group meeting or activity.
The Rawords who were well known in the Scone district for many years have left a bequest to enable some of the modifications to happen.
On Sunday the family will be in attendance to see the results of the bequest.
There will also be a family ceremony to intern the ashes of Kingston and Rhonda in the church Columbarium.
People can come and join in with a barbecue lunch followed by a time of singing Christmas carols.
