Seventeen-year-old Talia Bruce and 16-year-old Ebony Taylor are no strangers to the event.
This season they have once again dedicated themselves to their training and attended qualifying carnivals near and far in preparation for the exciting competitions, which signal a close to the summer swimming season.
Bruce competed in the 17/18 year 100 metre breaststroke, swimming a personal best time, securing a place in the finals and impressively achieving ninth place in the state in a field of 23 qualifiers.
Taylor swam in the 16 year 50 metre freestyle and achieved 31st in the state in a field of 57.
The girls were both happy with their swims and have qualified for these championships again in 2016.
Bruce’s next major event sees her swim the 50 metre and 100 metre breaststroke at the NSW State Open Championships next month.
Taylor and Bruce will be joined by fellow Scone swimmers, 13-year-old Indyana Taylor and 14-year-old Alexandra Field at the NSW Country Championships at SOPAC on February 21 and 22.
