Around 47 children from across the shire attended the ‘Roll Up, Roll Up’ workshop to learn circus inspired tricks like how to twirl plates, juggle balls, walk a tight rope, walk on stilts and ride a mini bike.
Upper Hunter Shire youth services supervisor Mary Spora said the workshop was just one of several activities available for young people these holidays.
“It’s great to have such a great ‘roll up’ to Roll Up.
“The circus skills workshop is all about having a go at something new, meeting new friends and having fun.
“Youth services is not just about engaging children at youth centres but also about hosting events such as this.
Ms Spora said the next event on the youth services calendar is an excursion this week to Maitland for a ‘Flip Out’ trampoline activity.
