It was a great thrill for the Zone 7 Pony Club Team of Four as they won the David John Whitford Perpetual Trophy for Senior Teams at the Sydney Royal Easter Show this year.

The team, aged 13 and under 17 years, was coached by Anna Wilson and included Katrina Wilson and Cory McKay from Denman Pony Club, and Rachel and Darcy Pittman from Scone Pony Club.
Other successes for the Zone 7 Senior team were Katrina and Cory placing first in the Pair of Riders while teammates Rachel and Darcy placed second.
Katrina went on to place second in her rider class, Rachel placing third and Darcy placing ninth.
The Junior Team of Four coached by Sue Foreman-Thrift and consisting of Georgia Thrift, Millie Graham, Tadhg Magner of Denman Pony Club and Alby O’Regan of Aberdeen Pony Club who also came home smiling.
Their team came fourth in the under 13 years Team of Four.
Other great results included Tadhg and Alby placing second in the pairs while Georgia and Millie placed sixth, and Tadhg going on to place fifth in his rider 9 and under 11 years.
Overall it was a great Sydney Royal for the Zone 7 hacking team.
