Local players Tom Vincent and Taylor Holland-Wright both pulled on representative jerseys.
Both boys put their best foot forward in the Central North squad with Vincent playing hooker and tight head prop, and Holland-Wright making a start at inside centre.
The playing conditions were more than tough with heavy playing fields and wet weather playing havoc with all sides.
Central North played two matches throughout the weekend, being narrowly defeated in their first game going down to Central Coast and claiming victory in the second game against Central West with the help of an early try by Vincent.
This made them third overall in the competition.
Unfortunately Holland-Wright was unable to fulfil his whole commitments due to a hand injury that kept him sidelined for part of the weekend.
Along with Holland-Wright and Vincent, last year’s first grade full back, Tom Smart also wore a representative jersey in the New England side, who went on to win the second tier of their division.
These games were the last opportunity to impress for selection in the NRMA NSW Country Cockatoos and Cockatoos Colts representative squads for the 2015 season.
