Wamsley said it was a really good experience and he made some great friends, which made it a lot of fun.
Both players said the major highlight was when Wamsley came on as a number 1 in the last chukka of the last game to score seven goals in six minutes to bring the game back to even, which meant it went to extra time.
Queensland ran out winners but Wilson remains optimistic, saying “hopefully NSW can beat Queensland next year”.
Wamsley was awarded best number 3 and Champion NSW Horse and Rider on Efficient.
Younger brother Mitch Wamsley was also selected to wear the blue jersey and represent NSW at the Junior Classic at Albury.
