Queensland tennis coach Bernard Marnning made the trek to the Upper Hunter to provide skills training and games to the sporting enthusiasts.
The children were put through their paces in serving, forehand, backhand, volley and other shot skills.
It was thanks to a family connection that the children were able to benefit from the finer points of tennis from the professional coach.
Parent Sallina Crowe organised for Marnning to deliver some tennis coaching whilst on holiday and plenty of people decided to take the opportunity to improve their skills, despite the wintery weather.
The Timor Tennis Club kindly supported the children by paying for some extra lessons.
