Two local sisters have also been excelling in the sporting arena, competing successfully at the NSW State Cross Country Championships at Eastern Creek last Friday.

Chloe and Nikki Hollingsworth, from Scone, both qualified for the state event which saw them run in some of the muddiest and coldest conditions experienced.
Year 8 student, Chloe competed in the 14 years girls four kilometre event where she finished up 21st out of 105 runners.
This year was the third time Chloe has represented at the state carnival, and she qualified after two wins and a 10th place.
The conditioned athlete won her school cross country division as well as the diocesan level, which qualified her for the Combined Catholic Colleges (CCC) competition where she placed 10th.
Older sister Nikki was representing for her fourth time, competing in the 18 years plus age division for a six kilometre run.
The year 12 student finished the race 16th out of 81 other female athletes.
In the lead up, Nikki had won both the school and diocesan carnivals and placed fifth at CCC to qualify for the state championships.
The girls were the only students to represent St Joseph’s Aberdeen at the championships, and said they were really happy with how they went.
