On a very frosty winter’s morning a great field of 31 veteran golfers assembled at the challenging Aberdeen Golf Course for the prestigious 24 Hole - Par 3 Championship event in honour of the late Bernie Behringer.

Many thanks to the volunteers who assisted in preparing the course and setting the Par 3 distance markers for this annual fixture.
It was an honour to have Pam Behringer in attendance to present the 2015 trophy winner, from Aberdeen, Jock O’Conner with a 71 nett.
The runner up, also a local, was Ron Bartush 74, third Des Partridge 75c/b, fourth Rod Auld 75, fifth Graham Boles 77c/b and sixth Les Brown 77 nett.
In the ball competition balls went to Rod Upton and Doug Roche 78, Paul Gorman 79, Doug Thrift, Gerritt De Boer and Captain Max Holz 80, Chris Noonan, Jeff Mckeon, Bob Thorley, President George Smith and Phil Ledgerwood, all with 81 nett.
NTPs - 1st Jock O’Connor, 3rd Rod Auld, 4th George Smith, 5th Bob Thorley, 6th Margaret Bray, 7th Graham Guest, 8th Max Holz and 9th Graham Guest.
The putting wine, kindly donated by the Aberdeen Golf Club, was also won by Jock O’Connor with 35 putts - great putting.
This Tuesday, August 4 we play at Murrurundi for an Individual Stableford (also a NSWVGA Medal Round) with a shotgun start.
Next Tuesday, August 11 we play at Muswellbrook for round one of the Veterans Club Championships and round two will be at Denman on August 25.
