The four Scone Thoroughbreds Rugby League Club players are recognised for their huge try scoring achievements in the 2015 season being named in the Rugby League Local Leading Try Scorers tally.
The tally is a live, updated results database that features on Fox Sports Pulse and is where Sofie Casson, Riley Pennell, Maddy Adams and Aajay Watts feature.
For one club to have four players in the top ranks of the tally is a great achievement and one the players should be proud of.
As of yesterday, Under 10s player Riley Pennell was sitting in fifth position with 46 tries, followed by the Scone Ladies League Tag captain coach Sofie Casson in 10th spot having scored 44 tries throughout the season.
Also in the top 100 is Under 10s player Aajay Watts who sits in 33rd position after scoring 34 tries and Ladies League Tag player Maddy Adams in 68th spot with 30 tries.
The tally covers all age groups across the country.
Within the junior ranks of NSW, Pennell sits at fourth and Watts at 30, whereas in the seniors in NSW Casson is third and Adams is 59th.
In the nation Casson is placed third overall and the highest scoring senior player on the tally.
Casson has scored more than 40 tries in her Ladies League Tag team that she takes to the grand final next weekend at Scone Park.
She said she was a bit shocked to find out about the tally and her position.
“When I realised it was the nation I was pretty proud to be placed third, than discovering I was the highest point scorer out of all the senior grades in the nation was pretty overwhelming.
“Having four Scone players in the top tally is just outstanding for our club,” Casson said.
“It really shows the passion coming from all ages and genders.
“I’m so proud, as others would be, to be a part of the Thoroughbred club as it is such a family friendly orientated and supportive club that every player wants to do well for, not just for their club but their family and friends too.”
