The exciting concert will be performed next Wednesday, September 9 and Thursday, September 10.
The themed concert is held every two years, with this year’s theme being ‘Live on Broadway’ which combines musical favourites with a theatrical atmosphere.
The production involves the school’s 500 plus students, from kindergarten to year 6, who have been preparing since last year, and rehearsing for many months.
Scone Public School relieving principal Deborah Fisher said that everyone will enjoy the music, but seeing the kids really shine is what it’s really all about.
“It’s great for the students to perform on such a big scale, with the whole concert feel, which further builds their performance skills,” she said.
Scone High School’s technical team has been assisting with lighting, sound and exciting special effects in preparation for the performances.
“The students, are not only practicing hard, but are very excited to perform next week,” Ms Fisher said.
“It will be certainly worth it, you will not go away feeling like you weren’t entertained.”
Tickets are currently on sale for $5 from Scone Public School, who extends their invitation beyond parents, to the whole community.
The performances of Live on Broadway will be held on Wednesday and Thursday at 12pm and 6.30pm at the Scone Public School Hall.
