The organisation hosted its 24th annual general meeting and presentation at the Aberdeen Sport and Recreation Club.
The new committee for the 2016-17 season is as follows: president Michael Roughan, vice-president Gerard Partridge, secretary Denise Bell, treasurer Amy Croft, registrar Toni Partridge, records and ranking Max Bell, publicity Denise Bell, fundraising Melissa Roughan with vacancies still in canteen, track marking and equipment.
Awards presented were as follows:
100 per cent attendance – Tot: Grace Partridge, U7 Ava Roughan and U12 Bella-Rose Partridge.
Representation certificates – U9 Malaki Poa – zone and region; U12 Bella-Rose Partridge – zone and region; U14 Corey Lowick – zone and region; and Kate Lloyd – zone, region and state.
Thank you certificates were also presented to Dawn Jamieson and Graham Newton for their monetary donation towards new equipment.
Tiny Tots to receive awards included Annika Stafa, Harper Hoogerwerf, Grace Partridge, Rubi Bailey, Elliot Stafa, Thomas Earl, Jackson Birch, Memphis Hinschen and Sammy Dixon.
For the rest of the members, an overall club point score was done rather than a point score per age group since the membership of the club this season was less than 50.
Award winners:
Under-6 and under-7 – Noah Lonergan, Sebastian Morrison, Mia Kennedy, Waylon Britt, Jazmine McLeod, Kelsea Robinson, Thomas Roughan, Emity Croft and Ava Roughan.
Under-8, under-9 and under-10 – Bridie O’Neill, Max Morrison, Jordan Kennedy, Stevie Mitchell, Malaki Poa, Austin McGrath, Noni Dixon, Ziggy Turner, Danielle Earl, Mikayla Croft and Phoenix McLeod.
Under-11 and under-12 – Joseph Brown, Jakob Johnson, Tommy Dixon, Angus Moore, Marley Poa, Baylee Edmonds, Rhiarne Edmonds, Joshua Earl, Christel Pennell, Hunter McGrath and Bella-Rose Partridge.
Under-13, under-14, under-15, under-17 and open – Mallock Morrison, Corey Lowick, Ella Sinclair, Ruby Brown, Hailee Dinham, Isabella Roughan, Jeannie Seymour and Kate Lloyd.
Brian Selman Award for Sportsmanship – under-8 Ziggy Turner.
Outstanding Performance at a Representative Level – under-15 Kate Lloyd.
Highest Overall Point Score Female – under-7 Ava Roughan.
Highest Overall Point Score Male – under-10 Phoenix McLeod.
“Many thanks to all parents for bringing your children each week, also for helping run the events,” Denise Bell said.
“The club cannot survive without your help, which is greatly appreciated.
“We hope to see you all again in October when the 2016-17 season of athletics begins.”
