The Netball NSW tournament is one of the largest female sporting events in the southern hemisphere.
The competition is so large now, that no single association has the court, venue space and facilities to host all four divisions and age groups by itself.
Therefore, multiple organisations are used simultaneously to conduct the championships, which is an incredible effort from all the fantastic volunteer-powered associations.
The competition will be run over three days with teams from throughout NSW competing.
This year, Campbelltown District Netball Association will host the championship divisions, Bankstown City Netball Association division two and Illawarra District Netball Association divisions three and four.
The Scone and District Netball Association will send four sides to Illawarra – the 12s, 13s and 15s will contest division three and the 14s division four.
The teams have been training hard since early February, attending many representative carnivals in readiness for this weekend.
The squads have all fundraised to help with their costs and players, coaches, managers, parents and the committee of Scone and District Netball spent many hours organising and preparing for the event.
The association wishes everyone good luck for the weekend and knows you will do yourselves and the district proud.
