But, as the saying goes, all good things must come to an end.
For Sharon Bradshaw, it signals the start of an exciting new chapter in her life.
The highly-popular staff member reflected on her 29-year journey at the school after officially retiring last week.
“I’m ready for the next stage of my life now,” she said.
“But I’ll miss the friendships with staff and the kids, we’ve had plenty of laughs.
“I’ve seen lots of people come and go but there’s been lots of good times over the years.”
Mrs Bradshaw worked as an assistant in the school’s Science department before moving to the photocopy room and then finally spending the best part of 10 years in the front office.
She said the amount of positive well-wishes from the local community had been overwhelming.
“I am a bit of a ‘softie’, so I was an emotional wreck on my last day,” she said.
“I was reading so many positive comments from parents and members of the community and it got a bit overwhelming to be honest.
“The farewell I was given was totally unexpected.”
Mrs Bradshaw, who has lived in Scone for more than 40 years, is now planning to travel around in a caravan with friends and spend quality time with her grandchildren.
