But this might change soon.
A new, energetic committee aims to reinvigorate the courts, and land adjacent to it, by creating a family-friendly atmosphere.
The club is set to host a tennis coaching sports day this Tuesday from 10am, with a $5 registration to include a sausage sandwich and bottle of water.
Lisa McGrath will coach primary school children until 11am and then teach interested players of all ages for another hour.
It is hoped the event will get the ball rolling and develop into something even bigger.
Club president Melissa Reeves said discussions were taking place in a bid to also make use of the land near the courts.
“The courts have been quite stagnant for years but we plan to change that,” she said.
“We want to get families around here involved and come and have fun.

“We’re also talking to Upper Hunter Shire Council about using the vacant land near the courts as a sports recreation area.
“It’s just a great block that is going to waste.
“We want to put football goal posts and a cricket pitch there.
“It’ll be something for the kids who can come and play sport on the weekend when they’re bored.
“You can’t always just jump in the car and drive to Scone.”
Following the coaching clinic, the club has also organised an Open Day on November 5.
There will be a tennis competition, jumping castle, and other activities for children.
