“The HTBA has a proud history of sponsoring scholarships to this prestigious course. With the generous support of its corporate partners and members we are very pleased to do so again in 2017,” chairman of the HTBA’s education and training sub committee Mike Thew said.
“Damien Fitton will join an exclusive number of students from around the world chosen to participate in this highly respected Irish National Stud breeding course in Kildare, Ireland.”
Damien spent a number of years working at Gai Waterhouse Stables and is now a valued young employee of Arrowfield Stud with a very bright future ahead.
He has gained valuable experience in many aspects of thoroughbred breeding and racing.
The Irish National Stud Breeders Course will take Damien to the next level of his career in the industry.
HTBA received many applications for this scholarship from candidates with excellent resumes and background in the equine industry.
The HTBA congratulates all applicants and encourages them to consider applying for the 2018 INS application round.
“The high calibre of candidates again this year highlights the strong competition for this prestigious scholarship,” Mr Thew said.
“The HTBA congratulates Damien and wishes him every success with the course.
“We are confident that Damien will be a great ambassador for both the HTBA and Australia.”
