Several new members have recently joined the club’s hierarchy ahead of the new season.
And, they have some big plans to help move the sport forward.
President Natalie Smith said the main goal was to attract everyone back to netball.
“We’ll focus on developing our young players while also providing a place for people to come and have fun,” she said.
“We want the club to cater for everyone’s needs, whether they are our five-year-olds or those who have been playing for a long time.”
Smith said feedback would be sought on last season, but added a number of fresh ideas had already been considered.
“We are thinking of having music between games to have a fun atmosphere and doing interactive things like a ‘Try Netball Day’ plus socialising after matches,” she said.
“We also plan to host a coaching clinic during the next school holidays and have more training for umpires throughout the year.
“Our general committee are all young mums who have been part of the club and have kids coming through, so that’ll give us a new perspective.
“The more voices we have the better and that’s what we’ll be encouraging this year.”
Smith said dates for the upcoming season, registrations and the draw were due to be discussed at the next committee meeting.
It will be held on February 6 at Scone RSL, starting from 6pm.
We want the club to cater for everyone’s needs, whether they are our five-year-olds or those who have been playing for a long time.
