In the only round 15 fixture that was completed, Morgan tore through the Bulls batting line-up to finish with 5/25 from eight overs.
His haul included the key wicket of middle-order mainstay Mick Davidson (0), as well as Cal Murray (0), Anthony Hill (1), Campbell Jefferies (0) and Chris McDean (1).
Morgan received support from fellow all-rounder Doug Munro, who grabbed 2/27, as the visitors were bowled out for 125 inside 33 overs.
The Bulls had lost Tim Carter (1) early before Ricky Lawrence soon followed with the score on 30.
Then came the carnage, with Merriwa picking up four wickets for just four runs at one point to leave the Bulls reeling at 6/35.
Skipper Tom Wilson (70) survived the onslaught, and went on to play a crucial knock which kept his side in the match.
In reply, Merriwa's opening batters Munro and Jon Osmond started strongly, making 22 and 36 respectively.
Following their departure, the Bulls began to gain the ascendancy as Charlie Stokes (8), Mark Fieldsend (6), John Maben (12) and Morgan (2) were all dismissed cheaply.
However, Pat Gilbey (11 not out) and Neville Blackadder (four not out) eventually got Merriwa home in the 32nd over.
Carter was the pick of the bowlers for the Bulls, ending with 2/24 from his eight overs, while Gavin Newton-Smith claimed 2/33.
The other matches were all washed out.
