Three Scone Grammar School primary school students took out top honours in the teams competition of the beef cattle junior judging at this year's Maitland Show.

Sisters Olivia and Audrey Gill were joined by Matilda Cronin to win their age group in the competition before going on to beat their more fancied ‘older’ competitors to be named champion school team.
In oppressively hot conditions at the show the competitors were seen very keen to participate in the annual steer and junior judging and paraders competitions.
Champion steer once again want to Brisbane Waters Secondary College with their purebred Limousin entry. The steer Sheraton Skippy weighed 609kg on the day and will be heading to the Sydney Royal.
