The annual ‘World of Food’ event helped celebrate Harmony Day.
And, Scone Neighbourhood Resource Centre (SNRC) manager Lee Watts said it was well-received once again.
“There were dishes from many nations including Yorkshire pudding, lasagne, Singapore noodles, curry puffs and pavlova which were enjoyed by the 40 people,” she said.
“Guests were also invited to be part of a Japanese drumming interactive session with Kiyomi Calwell of Ez Japanese.”
This year’s event in Scone was organised by the SNRC, Scone Library, and Upper Hunter Shire Council.
The message of Harmony Day is ‘everyone belongs’.
The day aims to engage people to participate in their community, respect cultural and religious diversity and foster sense of belonging for everyone.
Since 1999, more than 70,000 Harmony Day events have been held across Australia.
