After three days of practice at the 2017 Kia-Ora Youth Music Camp, hundreds of students will showcase their talents at the Finale Concert at the Scone High School.
During that time, the pupils have worked and rehearsed with some amazing tutors and conductors at various locations throughout the shire.
This year is the 18th anniversary for the Upper Hunter and Kia-Ora Youth Music Camp, which is sponsored by Kia-Ora Estates Pty Ltd, the Paradice Family, Newgate, KAWAI, National College of Dance Newcastle, Upper Hunter Conservatorium of Music and Upper Hunter Shire Council.
The camp is offered to students from Years 3 through to Year 12, from schools across the Upper Hunter Shire.
It’s an excellent opportunity for budding musicians, as well as those who wish to try something new in the creative arts area from dancing to singing.
The camp encourages young talent and motivates them to develop music in their lives by providing awards and scholarships.
