Man books a date with court
A NEWCASTLE man will appear at Muswellbrook Local Court after testing positive for drugs at Scone.
On Monday, April 17, about 2.40pm, police had cause to stop a silver Nissan Pulsar on the New England Highway for the purpose of a random breath and drug test.
A 26-year-old was subjected to both tests where an oral fluid test produced a positive detection.
He was arrested and conveyed to Muswellbrook Police Station where he was tested for a secondary sample.
This returned a positive result for methylamphetamine.
He was issued with a court attendance notice for “drive with illicit drug present” and will appear at Muswellbrook local Court in the near future.
