The march from the Linga Longa Hotel to the service at the Gundy RSL Hall attracted big numbers, with locals keen to play a role in proceedings.
Gundy Anzac Day Committee secretary Trish Ferguson was delighted with the event.
“We always have a massive crowd [on Anzac Day],” she said.
“But, it was even bigger on Tuesday.
“Honestly, the response was tremendous.
“One resident commented that we needed to build a bigger hall,” she added with a laugh.
“It was estimated that we had close to 300 people – that’s huge for a little village.”
Aberdeen’s Charles Cooke took on the guest speaking duties, while the Scone RSL Pipes and Drums led the march.
“The children from Belltrees Public School also read the Act of Commemoration,” Mrs Ferguson said.
“They love doing it – and they do it so well.
“We enjoyed an amazing morning tea, too.
“Each person brings a plate; it’s a real country-style atmosphere.
“I’d like to thank everyone who was involved, especially those people behind the scenes.
“We’ll now start planning for next year.”
