The new-look outfit, which is expected to be broken into two teams, plays at home for the first time on Saturday, against Central North rivals Inverell and Tamworth.
And, coach Brad Smith anticipates big things from his chargers on familiar soil.
“Running onto Brumby Park will give them a boost – they’re all hungry to do well,” he said.
“There should be a huge crowd on hand [this weekend], too.
“It’s a great thing for the club and I know the girls are keen to show off their skills.
“A number of the first grade guys have been helping out, like Liam Shepherd, James Capstick, Simon Gilmore and Paul McTaggart.”
The female Brumbies opened their account at Tamworth a fortnight ago, losing 28-0 to a red-hot Inverell and being pipped 17-15 by the Pirates.
A major highlight was a hat-trick to Scone’s Meg Huber in the narrow two-point defeat.
“I thought they went really well,” Smith said.
“At first, I didn’t think we’d have enough for a team.
“But, we ended up securing 10 girls.
“Now, we’ve got a squad of 30.
“They loved it – and I noticed a big difference from game one to the second match.
“Their confidence lifted.
“And, at training, they’re enthusiastic and really positive; nothing’s a problem.
“They’re keen to keep learning and push themselves harder.
“I couldn’t ask for more.”
Games are scheduled to start from 11am.
