TAFE NSW Scone hosting information sessions during Open Week

TAFE NSW will showcase its innovative approach to high-quality education and training at an Open Week this month.

The special occasion will take place at 130 TAFE NSW locations across the state from June 19 to 24, including Scone, collectively highlighting its extensive facilities, course offerings, employer partnerships, world-class training and technology.

It presents a great opportunity for one-on-one course advice, and to meet the teachers and past graduates from local TAFE NSW campuses to discuss training opportunities.

Each location will feature “live” demonstrations and interactive signature events.

Depending on the campus, these could include customised car painting, posy-making workshops, tips for building fashion portfolios, a fresh-cooking masterclass, and a Green Gate Organic Farm produce tour.

The first state-wide TAFE NSW Open Week, held in January, attracted more than 10,000 attendees to 1300 events, with a further 26,000 people watching online via Facebook Live events.

Whether you are looking for a career you love, skills to score a promotion at work, or a vocation change, TAFE NSW offers more than 1200 on-campus and online courses, providing flexibility that allows students to balance their study, work and family commitments.

During Open Week, TAFE NSW Scone will host information sessions for all Semester 2 courses, with highlight events to include:

* Equine demonstration covering horse anatomy, hoof trimming and horse nutrition - Wednesday, June 21 (10am to noon)

* Scone campus tour and free sausage sizzle - Wednesday, June 21 (noon to 2pm)

* Smash Bros – Live panel beating demonstration via Hunter TAFE Facebook Page - Wednesday, June 21 (4pm)

* Hot wheels – Live vehicle painting and customisation demonstration via Hunter TAFE Facebook Page - Wednesday, June 21 (5pm)
