“Kirby” was last seen at the property, just north of Murrurundi, about lunchtime on Friday.
However, Ms Ellis’ parents noticed she was gone the following morning.
“Someone’s wanted a poddy calf [for their kids] – and stolen her,” she said.
“You can see the marks at the fence where they dragged Kirby under.
“But, she is a one-of-a-kind calf.
“She has a microchip in her belly and her DNA is also on file.
“So, whoever has her can’t hide Kirby.
“I’m just asking for a bit of help to find her.
“Someone must know something.”
Ms Ellis said she was “peed off” about the theft of Kirby.
“I have no doubt she was stolen as she’s particularly cute,” she told the Advocate.
“It’s quite upsetting.
“Not only is it a blow for my business, as I breed Brahmans, but the poor cow is not coping well with the loss of her calf.
“When people do this, I don’t think they realise what [issues] they leave behind.
“All I ask is that they return Kirby now, no questions asked.
“However, if I don’t hear anything, I’ll contact the police.”
