While the club celebrated those who support the organisation at the Bill Rose Sporting Complex on Saturday, most of the sides also triumphed on the playing paddock.
Scone’s all-age outfit pipped Swansea 1-0, while the under-16s accounted for Belmont 3-0.
“Our 5 years to 11 years’ juniors all played with enthusiasm as normal,” secretary Deanna Faulks said.
“It’s great to see them having fun and learning all about football and team sportsmanship.
“For something different this week, we put our 12-16 years’ juniors on the interdistrict field to give them an idea of what playing in the interdistrict competition is like.
“They had a great game and it was terrific to have lots of people cheering them on.”
The camaraderie lingered into the evening, too, at the Scone Sporties.
“The Trivia Night was also very successful with team Chicken Dinner (pictured) taking out first prize of an in-home chef prepared dinner for 10,” Faulks said.
“We would like to thank all those who attended the function and made it so much fun.
“A big thank you goes to all the local business that donated fantastic prizes.”
Faulks said the junior town competition would now enjoy a two-week break for the school holidays.
However, the Mustangs’ interdistrict teams continue their respective campaigns.
Results from round nine of the interdistrict competition:
Under-13s: Maitland def Scone 2-1
Under-16s: Scone def Belmont 3-0
All-age: Scone def Swansea 1-0
