This time, friends and guests escaped the cold to enjoy a winter feast to warm the soul with around 65 guests dining together to support a worthy cause.
The mid-year function was organised and hosted by The Friends of Strathearn, a small group of ladies who have worked together for over three decades in the Scone area.
The group’s efforts in regularly coordinating fundraising events to provide much needed equipment for Strathearn aged care have made a big difference for residents and staff.
Yvonne McCready, president of the group said that the money raised today will allow them to continue their support.
“All money raised from the function will go towards the purchasing of much needed items to provide at home care for residents such as day beds, wheelchairs and slings,” she said.
“We are happy to also have guest speaker David Martin from our partner HammondCare here today to speak about at home care.”
The group are looking forward to continuing their fundraising efforts and working with the community to support Strathearn in the future.
