The answer is they were both knitted into the shape of a teapot and will feature in the tea-riffic Morpeth Teapot and Tea Cosy Festival.
Trump may have been an impractical choice for a tea cosy, regularly getting hot under the collar, but he is sure to attract a crowd to the event, which started Thursday and runs until August 27.
This is the final year of the long-running event, but there are some amazing entries to send off the festival.
This year’s two week extravanganza features about 600 cosies and many are for sale. Prices for the novelty items range from $65 to $300.
Entrants could choose to broaden their creativity by entering one of seven categories: In the Kitchen, Carnival Time, Steampunk, The Garden Shed, Floral Splendour, We are Going to the Zoo and Treasured Memories.
The cosies were judged on Tuesday. They were judged on creativity, ‘wow’ factor and technicality of the knit.
Winners of each category won a $100 Campbell’s Store voucher, second and third received a medal and certificate.
There was also an overall champion which was Lorraine Laverty from Dungog. Lorraine also won first prize in five other categories.
