And, with the annual TransCare Barefoot Bowls Fundraiser just around the corner – it is the perfect opportunity.
The first fundraiser was first held 11 years ago and has been supported by the community ever since.
Now, excitement is building ahead of the evening on Thursday October 12.
TransCare representative Jemma Anshaw said there is a lot to look forward to this year.
“Putting on the Annual Barefoot Bowls Night means a lot to us because it supports our programs and clients,” Ms Anshaw said.
“But the community response to it is overwhelmingly positive, which is an added bonus.”
Ms Anshaw said businesses have been doing their part by helping grow the prize pool for the raffle and auction that run on the night, but they are now asking for support from the community.
“Team registrations are now open, and there has already been a lot of interest,” Ms Anshaw said.
“We welcome anyone to sign up a team; you don’t have to have any experience because we play for fun.
“Some workplaces have already registered teams, as well as a few groups of friends, but there is still plenty of spots to get in on the action.”
Team entry for four players is $40 and interested teams can register by contacting TransCare on (02) 6545 3113, or by popping in to the office at 214 Kelly Street, Scone.
Alternatively you can let the Scone Bowling Club know on (02) 6545 1511.
For businesses wishing to make a donation please contact Jemma Anshaw at TransCare on (02) 6545 3113, or email promo@transcare.org.au.
